The meeting begin as Chapter 205 AMSN members, nursing students, and other attendees arrived at the upstairs loft of the Spaghetti Warehouse in the West End district of downtown Dallas, TX. Being greeted by leadership at the sign in table was a friendly affair as everyone was excited about the speaker and food to be enjoyed.

Among attendance at the meeting sign in table was leadership Barbara Warren, Lette Smith, Jeanne Seitz, and Joyce Winbush. Nearby greeting and guiding attendees to their seats and refreshments was Halbert and Greta. Halbert is a Medical City - Dallas representative for Chapter 205's Advisory Board. Greta is Chapter 205's membership and financial guru.

As everyone entered the conference area, you could feel the anticipation of membership attendees. The provided refreshments, meal, and desert definately makes for a relaxing and fun time for our members. The upcoming event, centered around the nationally recognized speaker Dora Bradley, is definately something people have come to see.

Dora Bradley, RN, PhD, BC gave a wonderful presentation on her topic "Best Nursing Practices: Are You a Falling, Rising, or Shooting Star?". Talk about an inspiration and thought evoking event. I'm sure all of the nurses in attendance left with some kind of guidance to better their careers and practice.

Following the evening's highlight event by Dora Bradley, our Chapter President Joyce Winbush conducted the Chapter 205 membership meeting. Highlighted in the membership meeting was details concerning upcoming certification review classes, volunteer opportunities, chapter growth, and the evolution of our wonderful website.

The evening was coming to a close as attendees finshed their deserts and completed evaluation forms for the event. As you can see from the empty plates, lots of full stomachs and happy faces were saying their last words to fellow nurses and colleges before departing home to families and loved ones.
