- NEW! Effective November 1, 2008 Nursing Continuing Education requirements related to the 20 contact hours needed for licensure renewal have changed. - NEW! New graduates who apply on or after September 1, 2008 for initial licensure will be required to take and pass the Nursing Jurisprudence Exam in addition to NCLEX in order to receive their license.
- NEW! Nurses seeking licensure by endorsement with the State of Texas will also be required to take and pass the Nursing Jurisprudence Exam. This is a new regulation out of the 2007 Texas Legislative Session.
